You Are Part of the Wonder

"The heavens were made by the word of the Lord, and all the stars by the breath of His mouth."- Psalm 33:6

Many kids when they are young are left in awe at many sights: Their first time at Disney World, their first glance at a Toys R Us, the joys of bubbles floating through the air, the joy of playing Minecraft for the first time, building new Legos, there’s just something about awe and wonder in the eyes of others. When I was a kid, that awe and wonder was found consistently in a TV show: Scooby-Doo: Where Are You? It captivated my attention, it kept me guessing and always had 4 year old me (and subsequently 30 year old me) left with that feeling of awestruck wonder. Think about what may have brought you that when you were younger and what brings you that feeling now. Go outside today and simply look at His creation, in the midst of everything around us, rest in the peace of His majesty. Rest in His radiance, His mercy and grace. Find a mirror too, look at those around you because just like the sun and the skies, you too were created by the same God with intent and Kingdom revealing purpose. You are a precious, intimate, creation and people see awe and wonder in who you are. People can see your quirks, your nuances and can wonder what makes you different, when the answer is obvious, it’s Jesus. In this time, be the light that the darkness can't overcome, be the hope that this world can cling to, be the confidence that cannot be shaken, be the creation of God you are, and stand firm knowing He will continue to leave others in awe and wonder through His creation, His word and you.
