Worthy in the Waiting

“Yahweh, our Lord, how magnificent is Your name throughout the earth!”- Psalm 8:1

Have you ever had to wait longer than you anticipated for something? Maybe you went to Chilis and the wait was 40 minutes for a table. Maybe you didn’t get the fast pass at Disney and had to wait in lines for the teacups or The Tower of Terror. Maybe it was an unexpected traffic or an Amazon order that was delayed, but we have all had to wait on things outside of our own timing before and will again down the line. Do we let our impatience to get the best of us in those moments? I know I do about 72.5% of the time, but even when we have to wait on things we want in the moment, our Father in Heaven is still worthy of praise. Maybe you have been in a season of waiting, for an opportunity, for His provision, for an answer to prayer and you are pleading with God to answer that. Let us remember that He is always moving, always working, even when we don’t feel it or see it, and even when it doesn’t line up with our timing, He is worthy to be praised for all He has done, and will continue to do. Let us think back this morning to a point in our walk with the Lord where we had to wait, where we had to be patient, and remember how He provided, how He exceeded expectations and how His timing was not late, or early, but right on schedule. And let us trust Him in whatever we may have to wait on next.
