Let The World Hear
“Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the LORD on high is mighty!”- Psalm 93:4
Thunderstorms are mesmerizing sometimes, but have you ever driven in the middle of an intense one? A few years ago on my way to visit dear friends on Lake Hartwell, this was my reality, and oh man was it ever an experience. Windshield wipers on full blast, lightning as frequent as hearing “My pleasure” at Chick-fil-A, and listening to none other than Prince’s “Purple Rain”, it made for a memorable drive. In the midst of it though, I remember something distinct coming to mind. I couldn’t help but look around when the lightning flashed, waiting for the roar of thunder to follow shortly thereafter. And then it hit me, how mighty out Father is within His creation in every moment, the sun, the moon, stars, the rain, the thunder all of it reflecting Him. And just like those things I just mentioned, you too, were created and formed by the Author of Creation. Today, let your light be the lightning and every breath, every footstep, every word of truth, every smile, every word of encouragement, of wisdom, of teaching be the thunder that continues to shake the gates of hell. Shine back the darkness and let this world hear the mighty roar of King Jesus through everything you do. Let’s go.
