He Knows The Answer
“But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the LORD will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard.”- Isaiah 52:12
My entire life, I have loved the TV show Jeopardy (RIP Alex Trebek, you are missed). Maybe you have sat there on your couch watching it many o’ nights like I have seeing how you stack up against the competition, and the sweet satisfaction of when you get one (or more) of those questions right. The instantaneous joy in finding out you got a question right is a tale as old as time, how many times have you thrown a fist pump in the air for that like I have? We love knowing things in an instant, right? That’s how we can look at life sometimes too. We want to know what today will bring, tomorrow will hold, what is ahead in the future, but there is beauty in the fact that we will never know until it arrives, because this life is not predicated on our timing, but His unfailing timing. We must learn patience to understand we are not supposed to know everything now. Some prayers take years to be answered, but we should never be discouraged when it is not answered instantly. Life isn’t a microwavable meal that is ready in seconds and complete, life is a process and we must learn to enjoy the ride, enjoy the moments where we don’t know what to do, or where we are going, because He does. He has seen us through to the end, so do not fear, He will guide us, protect us and take us where His will leads us, in His timing.
